About Ohio News Flash
Ohio cities announce a lot on their own websites: street and water work, leaf and trash pickup, park closures, public hearings, events. Each city posts in its own "News Flash" list, and few people check more than one. Ohio News Flash puts those lists in one place and lets you watch for the words you care about.
What it is
- An index of the posts in 27 Ohio cities' website News Flash lists, read from each city's public feed every 30 minutes.
- Every post is shown with the city's own title and the city's own summary from its feed (up to 280 characters), credited to the city and linked to the city's own page. Posts are kept for 48 months after they were posted.
- A private Flash Sheet that follows cities and watch words. No account, no email.
What it is not
- Not news reporting: nothing here is written about any post, and nothing is summarised or rewritten by a person or by AI.
- Not a city government or the State of Ohio, and not CivicPlus (the company whose website system many cities use) or connected to it.
- Not the official record and not an emergency alert service. Posts change and are taken down, and the copy here is read every 30 minutes, so it can be behind. Check the city's own page before you rely on anything. In an emergency call 911.

Who runs it
Ohio News Flash is built and maintained by WeldonPC. It runs by itself: no staff choose or edit what appears. Its public reading pages show one banner ad from adengine.us, WeldonPC's own small ad network, below the content; the ad never changes which posts appear or their order (Privacy says what it loads).
